String Change History

How We Use Your Information

All information collected by LutePile Pro is used exclusively for the following purposes:

2. Data Synchronization: To sync your data across your devices via iCloud (if enabled)
3. Local Notifications: To send maintenance reminders based on your schedules
4. Data Export: To allow you to export your data for backup or transfer purposes

Data Storage & Security

Local Storage

• All data is stored in a local database (Core Data) on your device
• Data is protected by your device's encryption and security features
• Data remains on your device unless you enable iCloud sync

iCloud Sync (Optional)

When you enable iCloud sync: - Your data syncs across devices signed into your iCloud account - Syncing uses Apple's CloudKit service with end-to-end encryption - Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest - Only you can access your synced data through your iCloud account - Stillwork does not have access to your iCloud data - You can disable sync at any time in Settings > Cloud & Data

Photos

• Photos are stored in the app's local database
• Photos are not stored separately in your device's photo library (unless you explicitly save them)
• Photos sync via iCloud if sync is enabled
• Photos are never uploaded to Stillwork servers

Notifications

• Maintenance reminders are generated locally on your device
• No notification data is sent to remote servers
• Notifications are scheduled by iOS based on your preferences

String Database Updates

LutePile Pro includes a string database with information about instrument strings from various manufacturers. This feature:

• Downloads public information about string products (brands, models, gauges, materials)
• Contacts Stillwork servers only to check for database updates
• Does NOT transmit any of your personal data or instrument information
• Only sends your app version and a timestamp when checking for updates
• Is optional and can be disabled

The string database contains publicly available product information and is not linked to your personal data.

Data Sharing

Stillwork does not share your data with third parties. We do not sell, license, or provide your data to advertisers, data brokers, or business partners.

User-Initiated Sharing

LutePile Pro includes features that allow you to share your instrument data with people you choose:

• Technician Shares: Share setup specs and maintenance access with your repair technician or luthier
• Collaborator Shares: Share full access with co-owners or partners
• Auditor Shares: Share read-only access with appraisers or insurance agents
• Legacy Administrator Shares: Share read-only access with family members for estate planning

When you create a share:

• You control exactly what data is visible (All Fields, Service Focused, or Inventory Only)
• You control what actions recipients can perform
• Sharing uses Apple's CloudKit service with encryption
• Recipients must have an iCloud account to accept shares
• You can revoke access at any time
• Shares can have automatic expiration dates

Important: Sharing is always initiated by you. Stillwork never shares your data on your behalf. The recipient's name and email address are stored locally to manage the share configuration.

iCloud Sync

Your data may be synced via iCloud if you enable that feature, but this is: - Controlled by you - Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy - Encrypted and private to your iCloud account - Not accessible to Stillwork

Your Data Rights

You have complete control over your data:

Right to Access

• View all your data within the app at any time
• Export your complete data set to JSON format (Settings > Import & Export)

Right to Delete

• Delete individual instruments, records, or photos
• Delete all data by deleting the app
• Delete iCloud synced data through iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage

Right to Disable Sync

• Disable iCloud sync at any time (Settings > Cloud & Data)
• Data remains on your device when sync is disabled

Right to Control Notifications

• Disable notifications in Settings > Notifications
• Control system notification permissions in iOS Settings

Right to Revoke Photo Access

• Revoke camera/photo library access in iOS Settings > LutePile Pro
• Continue using the app without photo features

Right to Data Portability

• Export your data in JSON format for backup or migration
• Import data to other devices or app installations

Right to Revoke Shared Access

• Revoke any share at any time (More > Sharing Center > My Shares)
• Recipients immediately lose access when you revoke
• Set automatic expiration dates on shares
• Leave shares others have created with you

Data Retention

• Data persists on your device until you delete it
• iCloud data persists in your iCloud account until you delete it
• Notifications are automatically removed by iOS after they're dismissed
• Exported data files are under your control

Deleting the app removes all local data from your device but does not automatically delete iCloud data. To remove iCloud data, go to iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > LutePile Pro and delete the data.

Children's Privacy

LutePile Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at privacy@stillwork.com.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes: - We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top - Significant changes will be noted in app release notes - Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance

International Users

LutePile Pro is available worldwide. If you use the app outside the United States: - Your data is stored locally on your device (in your country) - iCloud data is subject to Apple's global infrastructure and encryption - String database updates may be served from servers in the United States - No personal data is transmitted to Stillwork servers

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: You can request information about data we collect (all data is visible in the app)
• Right to Delete: You can delete all your data by deleting the app

We do not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Security Measures

We take reasonable precautions to protect your data:

• Local data is protected by iOS device encryption
• iCloud data uses Apple's end-to-end encryption
• No data is transmitted to our servers (except optional string database version checks)
• App uses iOS security best practices
• Regular security reviews and updates

However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Breaches

Because your data is stored locally on your device or in your private iCloud account, and we don't store your data on our servers, traditional data breaches affecting Stillwork servers cannot expose your personal data.

If you lose your device: - Enable iOS device encryption (on by default) - Use a strong device passcode - Enable "Find My" to remotely wipe your device if lost - iCloud data remains protected by your Apple ID password
